I’ve always loved baths. I remember one time, in about… oh… 4th grade. It was the middle of winter and after walking home from school (around a mile, maybe?) I was FREEZING. I remember running in the house throwing my stuff wherever it landed and hopping in a steamy hot bath. So when Bumble Road offered some bath bombs to try and review, I snapped them right up.
We are building a house. We are moving to a smaller town about 20 minutes away from where we are now. Right now we live on the edge of a big city, and while we love our neighborhood, it’s time. Before we can move though, we have to sell the house we live in now. And to do that, we need to complete some projects.
So we recently spent all Sunday working. We pulled more weeds than I knew existed, fixed my son’s dresser drawer, fixed a video game charger, overseeded our front yard, fertilized our front yard, deep seeded an area by our boulevard tree that has been dirt since it was replaced 3 years ago, went grocery shopping, walked the dogs twice, mowed the lawn, the list goes on and on.
So at the end of the day, after wrestling two preschoolers to bed, I needed to chill. To relax and make my poor muscles a little less… angry. So I grabbed the grapefruit bath bomb and locked the bathroom door.
The water immediately turned yellow, which, to be honest, was a little strange, I mean, who thought a bathtub full of urine-colored water was a good idea? But.
The bath bomb really made my skin soft. So soft. Soft as a newly minted baby. And I smelled really good. Like really good. I really want to try the orange creamsicle, but I’m saving for my first bath in our new house. I mean, that giant soaking tub is going to need a worthy baptism. I promised my daughter the pink one.
