Organizing Challenge Week 2: Redux and a GIVEAWAY!

I'm lousy. Back in October (the very very end of October, to be fair, practically November...) I started an organizing challenge with myself. And then, after approximately 3 weeks, I fell off the wagon. Never start a challenge of any kind during the holidays. Bad idea.

But I'm back. I'm going to do this! I swear it! And with that fresh slate known as the new year, I'm going to start back a couple weeks on week 2. (pretending last week was week 1)

Ready?

If you recall, week 2 is all about organizing your schedule. One of the reasons I chose to revisit this week is because I got a new planner!

I've raved about Plum Paper Designs before and I have no reason to stop now. I swear I'm not perk'd, paid, or promo'd in anyway here, I just really like her products. She has no idea who I am, I swear, but I have at least ten people I can think of that have ordered her planners on my recommendation.

Last year I had a meal planner, this year I got one of her new family planners, and I love it. It has seven customizable sections as well as a weekly list section. Who doesn't love a list?

Please excuse the horrid lighting, I have to wait for my children to go to bed to take pictures and do bloggy things. I organize my schedule by taking time on Sunday nights, N is at curling every Sunday night, and *usually* the kids are in bed by seven. (With a three-month-old you never know though). Note that this upcoming week I have a thesis to work on. My first proposal meeting is this coming Saturday and I need to bulk up my literature review. If it sounds boring, don't worry, it is.

My seven sections are: to-do, morning, afternoon, evening, blog, gym, and misc. I like that I can still have time of day things, so if I, or the kids, have an appointment I can glance at the time quickly. During M's morning nap each day, I try to list a few to-dos, and subsequently get them done. I plan out my blog posts for the week in the blog section, and in the gym section, I both track my check-ins so I can tell when I've gotten to my twelve for the month, and I make note of what I need to work on that day (cardio distance, or strength, etc).

Doing this all on Sunday nights means that Monday morning when M inevitably wakes me up at five am, even if I'm tired, I've got my week ready to go, which saves me a lot of stress.

Is it fairly clear that I'm  big fan of week 2? I nerdily love my planner (and all paper products really) and because I love my planner so much, I'm giving away a Plum Paper Designs regular planner, cover of your choice and starting in the month of your choice. Use the rafflecopter below to earn entries! YOU MUST LEAVE A COMMENT TO VALIDATE YOUR OTHER ENTRIES!

So tell me, what cover strikes your fancy? If you're feeling super sharey, tell me what name you'll put on it, yours or a family name? A nickname maybe?

The grey chevron with the name at the bottom. I'd put our family name on it because I would plan on using it as a total family organizer.
