So, how'd I do?
-front door (it needs to be painted, badly) DONE!
-hang pictures in Bean's room DONE
-hang shelves in Bean's room DONE (Well, as soon as C is up from his nap, it will be done. He sleeps through a lot, but drilling into a shared wall is too risky even for me) **UPDATE done.
-make a vet appointment for Kirby DONE
-move my doctor appointment DONE - in fact i switched doctors completely
-cancel cable DONE, C and I are dropping off the box this afternoon or tomorrow morning
-set up appointments for estimates on re-tiling our upstairs shower not done. But I have been scouring Angie's list to find peeps to call.
-finish my chapter 3 outline of my thesis Not quite done, but as soon as I post this, I'm going to read the last research article I need to finish this baby up. **UPDATE done.
So, not bad. And, I have to admit, I'm wicked proud of the front door. When we moved into our house, it was a very 80's forest green, with a really badly painted white trim around the window. Seriously, it was bad. In 2010, I painted a "sample" on one of the panels and decided I was going to paint the door that color.
Ugh. messy and gross. So I took my razor blade to it, got rid of all the gross gunky paint, taped it off and started painting. Now, it looks like this:
I love it. It kind of reminds me of the TARDIS. Which makes me smile. It looks miles better when the door is hanging open, which it is a lot, because C's favorite activity is to stand at the door and look out the window.
That's an Instagram photo with a filter, to explain the odd light. I got a few things done this week that weren't on my list too, I went through all of C's newborn-3 month clothing, keeping some for bean and setting the rest aside to sell on Craigslist. I found some euro-style pillow shams for our master bedroom, I started getting organized for our trip to Colorado (next week's projects are all about getting ready to road-trip with a baby), and scrubbed down the trim on the living room windows. They were gross because Yoshi spends a lot of his day drooling on them.
So, that's what I got done this week. In addition to some regular old maintenance, like washing diapers, laundry, picking up after Tornado C, spending time in the backyard, etc.
So far, I'm digging this gig. I have a sneaking suspicion though that my productivity is all because of pregnancy nesting, and in about a month I'll be hard-pressed to get my arse off the couch.
What did you get done this week? Anything? I'm still waiting on tips no being a stay-at-home mom, I know you're out there!
I also got my free product from Amy at 31 gifts in the mail today! I'm so excited to try it out all weekend and post my review next week! You can check out my fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society here.
