Classroom photos

I had two classrooms this year, one wasn't actually mine, as I was subbing long-term and the teacher was returning. The second was another long-term subbing position, but the teacher wasn't returning, so I got to do with it what I wanted.

I love teaching, and teaching reading is the loveliest thing I've ever been able to do. I'm good at it, and my students like me and reading when I'm done with them.

One of the things I love about having my own classroom is the freedom to make it mine. I think hard about what I'm putting up on the walls and how I'm arranging things.

Here's what my room looked like this past year from all four corners.

I particularly loved this bulletin board, it's all local authors, and I know that several students read at least two of these books because of the space they got here on the board.

I was really fortunate to have this job this past year, and I had a fantastic, huge classroom. I also had some pretty stellar students.

Perhaps not the most interesting post ever, but important for me to document nonetheless. :)

  1. It's great that you have a job that you're so passionate about. Those kids are lucky!
