A little number about something I love a lot.

In 16 days, I will age gracefully, turning 31. I don't really care about being older, but I do care about celebrating, because if there's one thing I love, it's a party.

But, before the party (which hasn't been, and likely won't be planned) I thought I'd give a little photo-list of my top few gift ideas. For me. Because I like me, and I like presents!

First up:
A new camera. I've gotten some good mileage out of my current model, something I bought on overstock shortly before I left for Italy, but I'm finding that I want a little more control over my settings. I'm not looking for a DSLR, though I a quite familiar with SLRs and their features.Little known fact, my first major in college was photography. Surprise! So, I've been scouting around, and I've nearly decided on this number:
It's a bridge camera, so I'll have more control, but not have to deal with aperture and light meter settings and shutter speeds as much, freeing me up to snap quicker pictures than a DSLR. Bonus, it's last years model so it's cheaper than buying the new guy.

I've been eyeing this little number for several months now:
It's an allegedly fabulous book chock-full of ideas, tips and everything a homeowner could ask for. Plus, it's pretty.

Also, I can come up with as many excuses as necessary in order to avoid doing cardio at the gym. I love lifting weights, but when it comes to cardio, my motto is less is best. My current excuse is that I don't like biking or walking while holding my ipod or setting it on the tray in front. This little guy would really solve that problem for me, and take one more excuse out of my repertoire.
Being in a new-to-us house means we finally have the space and ability to use a grill. Grilled burgers are calling my name. I haven't made any yet, because we're lacking that oh-so-important grill.
This guy is a little out of our price range, especially for birthday gifts, but a nice, simple, stainless, gas number would suit me just fine.

That's it folks. I'm sure there would be more I could think of, but these are just a few of my favorite things right now.

**disclaimer, I do not actually expect to receive any gifts, much less outrageously expensive gifts such as those pictured here. I just like them, ok?

  1. I have the SX10IS and LOVE it! Happy early birthday!
